Choosing Death: The Improbable History of Death Metal & Grindcore

I knew about this book since its first release in 2004 and since that I've been dedicating my life to dig around the bookstores I've ever visited to get this particular literature. And I managed to ask the shop assistance several times whenever I've been at the places. Within my expectation, the answer had been always either "No" or "Out of stock", which I think it's better for me to stop asking and try another way: online order!

But the problem is, I'm not sure either I can be considered still living in a cave or this rapid changing modern world is not a suitable place for me, but this online ordering is just doesn't appeal to me that much. I'm always favour snail mail coz’: (1.) You’ll manage to get in personal (and being friends) with the other side of creature that you had contact with (you can even see their handwriting + managed to get freebies, if you lucky). (2.) And well-hidden cash in purchasing goodies is always da bomb (3.) equals to hassle free (if you were often using this method back in circa 90’s, then you know what I really mean of hassle free: Minus the (unstable) internet connection and the potential of being ripped off is massively lower because you would normally get to know the person first before starting to order)! What I mean with ‘da bomb’ is actually (4.) the trustworthy that you put into each letter/order (either sending or replying).

Yes, yes, yes... I know most of people would prefer online purchase and normally would have at least PayPal account whatsoever, so then assume the snail mail is out dated and such. But I just don't know why in the world I didn't like it and still don't have that kind of account that allows me to order thru online. Maybe I'll have it later soon... but at this present, I dunno honestly. Or maybe right after there are (huge amount of) groups of people who can assure and convince me that online purchase is 100% safe and beneficial.

Came to think, instead of ordering, why shouldn't I ask friends who live at the States to get it for me? Duh... it is really not me. I just don't want to get my friends into trouble and spare some of their valuable times just only to get this book for me.

So, I waited and waited... andddd... until today, I managed to get it myself. The "Choosing Death: The Improbable History of Death Metal & Grindcore" book is finally in my hand. Don't ask me about the price as the imported material from outside would be normally quite expensive (but do believe on this: The content of the book cures a lot for the hard earned bucks that I’ve spent). According to Amazon.com the book would costs us USD13.57. So do the math yourself or simply go here. And don't forget to add the shipping and postage cost.

Oh, I nearly forgot to tell where I got this book. It’s Kinokuniya in the holy hive of KLCC. Ask them if they’re still having copies. But mine is the last one that they have had currently.

Okay, I'll not elaborate more about this book as in my opinion none of any word will suit this book until you see it, hold it in your hands and read it by yourself. But hence the caption, “The Improbable History of Death Metal & Grindcore”, you’ll get what it is supposed to mean. No matter who you are, this is essentially a must for anyone who wants to know about the phenomenon and its origin.

Meet the author, Albert Mudrian. He's also the Editor-in-Chief for Decibel magazine.

Hello. My wife and I bought our house about 6 months ago. It was a foreclosure and we were able to get a great deal on it. We also took advantage of the 8K tax credit so that definitely helped. We did an extensive remodeling job and now I want to refinance to cut the term to a 20 or 15 year loan. Does anyone know any good sites for mortgage information? Thanks!
