melt dilapidation

Last week Innerview team sent me this one simple set of question. Always my favourite piece in responding an interview, at the second query they asked me about my favourite bands. Hell yeah, but this time they focused it on girl-band or female fronted band. Without any hesitation I gave them ten bands instead of three like they've actually asked me, I wish I could mention more though because there are heaps of girl-bands or female fronted bands that are worth to be mentioned. The list of bands that I gave them is this:

a) Thorr's Hammer
b) Spitboy
c) Harum Scarum
d) Damad
e) Kylesa
f) Detestation
g) Anti Product
h) Flagitious Idiosyncrasy in the Dilapidation
i) Pretty Girls Make Graves
j) Swans

The good people of Innerview even asked why these bands are my favourite. I didn’t answer it anyway, just to leave it blank without any elaboration in order to not to humiliate the intelligence of Innerview readers. I assume the readers know about bands I’ve listed down. So to speak, every each band has their own unique touch of musical aspiration and the enigmatic persona of every subject delivered is undoubtedly no one else can compare. Originality? Yes, indeed it is a must.

To talk about something that is unique, enigmatic and original, I admit that I’ve actually missed out one important name that fits perfectly to this category. The band is none other than Melt Banana! What a huge mistake I’ve made, an overwhelming cult status of avant-garde/electrocore band like them shouldn’t be left behind at the first place.

Sorry, Yasuko Onuki.

Err, anyone at Innerview, may I add another one please?

*First video is Melt Banana and the second one is Flagitious Idiosyncrasy in the Dilapidation. Enjoy! Oh, Flagitious Idiosyncrasy in the Dilapidation has released their debut full-length album on July 13th, 2008 (news taken from their official website).
