sampai jumpa.... Ari Bowkore "
I received this information through myspace from Ari Bowkore (of Teriak Records) today. This one is indeed a good news! Info about Onset of Serious Problems can be found over here. \m/
+ 'Hot stuffs' at yourslavestate.blogspot.com. Go figure it out yourself! + A new song added here. But it's still a prototype of a shape of brooding antagonist to come. :)
“What man is a man who does not make the world better?”
I still remember clearly of his witty banter; on how he approached me to start a conversation for the first time and on how he repeatedly citing the dialogue above that he took from ‘Kingdom of Heaven’ movie every time we meet… and from time to time he sent me the same quote thru SMS without fail.
His unique jokes were truly one of a kind. But after this, it’ll be no more… certainly and he’ll surely be missed. Al-Fatihah to Muhamad bin Abdullah aka Pret, a good friend and brother for all of us who knew him.
"When bands find they have no takers it knocks the stuffing out of them unless they have abnormally high self confidence. Ultimately it leads to members leaving, or the clever ones quickly bury their mistake and move onto pastures new. From a label point of view its no fun losing money and believe me, selling no records gets boring real fast."
The myspace page made by a fan. It's stated "Member Since: 11/24/2005" at the General Info section. So it means it's just approximately another 4 months away to be 5 years this site has been built/existed. If you wonder who's actually behind the site, it's actually me... yours truly. It's been viewed 40601 times and the 'Norge' song been played 49548 times to date. Hmm... not bad. The only turn off is I've forgotten the password. How lame is that? Duh...
"mahu kembali berkarya dengan lebih serius. Di masa-masa dulu yang sia-sia... atau malas mungkin..."
itulah kenyataannya. aku rasa aku dah lama senyap. asyik ajar orang... last-last aku yang dormant. artworks baru? ada juga. tapi semuanya tasteless, soulless. aku rasa tak sampai tahap. tak sampai dengan apa yang aku cuba sampaikan. macam klimaks sekerat. pancut tak habis. tak sedap. tak puas. mungkin masa aku dah kurang. mungkin aku banyak buat benda-benda tak berfaedah. mungkin aku banyak fokus pada benda-benda lain. seni visual aku hancus ke mana. damn. ini semua pasal 5 artworks aku yang hilang tahun 2003 dulu. sekarang dah masuk tahun 2010. dah 7 tahun berlalu. aku rasa cukup-cukup la kenangkan barang yang dah lepas. takkan nak biarkan perkara lepas ganggu kepala otak aku ni, sampai takde mood memanjang nak buat karya baru? aku ada juga buat sketches, artworks kecik-kecik, conteng-conteng sana-sini... banyak juga idea yang aku dah visualkan dalam kepala otak tapi tak keluar sebagai visual... namun keluar sebagai penulisan; sajak (konon) dan monolog (konon). tak kurang jugak dalam bentuk aural... bunyi-bunyian. banyak artworks yang aku buat lepas kejadian 7 tahun lepas tu rata-rata sebenarnya tak siap. tak kira la orang kata siap ke tak ke... aku tetap kata tak siap. macam aku kata tadi... klimaks sekerat. pancut tak habis. tak sedap. tak puas. aku ada banyak kanvas kosong dan papan lapis kosong. yang dah siap dengan prime dengan emulsion putih lagi. tapi... aku tak siapkan jugak. kat studio aku ada satu box board yang aku lekatkan kat dinding. ada lukisan mixed media yang 30% siap. siap? mana siap! tak siap lagi la! dah dekat 5 bulan aku biarkan macam tu je. tiap kali students aku masuk mahupun keluar mesti ada je yang berhenti dan kemudian belek, sentuh, gosok-gosok permukaan artwork tu. dalam seminggu mesti ada je yang tanya, "ni dah siap ke sir?". "kenapa?", aku tanya cara malas-malas. "menarik...", dia jawab. "hah, ye la tu!", balas aku sambil blushing sikit. aku pun tak tahu nak jawab macam mana. kekadang aku berhenti kejap depan artwork yang boleh tahan besar tu, aku touch up mana yang patut... tak sampai sejam, aku stop. lepas tu sambung kerja aku yang lain. hai laaa... bila mau siap itu artwork? aku tak kira, lepas ni aku mesti settlekan semua artworks yang tertangguh. siap la kau kanvas-kanvas, kertas-kertas dan papan-papan kosong... akan aku palitkan kesemuanya nanti. peduli setan okey ke tak okey ke, yang penting aku nak semua surface tu berlukis, bercat, berwarna, berjiwa dan 'pancut' habis-habisan. dah sampai masanya aku hidupkan sketches aku yang ada dalam simpanan. drawing itu semua fikiran aku, tak lama lagi aku berikan dia perasaan dan jiwa. aku akan paparkan kesemua lukisan tu dalam blog ini kelak. itu janji aku. cantik ke tidak ke, aku tak peduli. persetankan dan permalaikatkan itu semua. aku mahu bergerak, tak mahu dormant lagi. hibernasi ini sangat memedihkan. aku dah benci. muak. jemu. menyampah. meluat. okey la aku nak stop... nanti aku tambah lagi apa yang aku nak tambah kat dalam entry ni. aku malas nak buat/bahagi perenggan. bukan korang nak baca sangat pun. bye.
Frank Frazetta, the legendary fantasy and science fiction artist has died of a stroke on May 10, 2010, in a hospital near his residence in Florida. He will be sorely missed by many.
After downloading 'A Dream?' no.2 from koleksizine.blogspot.com, I read it all thoroughly and I found it exhilarating in terms of the collected memories behind it as well as persons/names that are included. Wifey also contributed artworks. I thank her a lot for the contributions even though now she thinks that the artworks are an embarrassment. No wifey, it was lovely... and I love it all, truly.
Among other, I almost forgot in that issue I've also included a letter by Helen Woodson, a political prisoner jailed in Fort Worth, Texas. And based on the several sites I've visited, she is currently 'resides' in Bates County Jail, Missouri since 2004 after being released in only two days from the previous imprisonment. What the? But she seemed to know about it beforehand when in the letter she wrote, "The 2005 release date is just a guess, since I have several sentences, and the final date has not yet been computed". The rest of it you can read at her letter above extracted from my zine.
I've always portrayed her as the 'Western Phoolan Devi', with the bravery she has and notorious in her own way.
